VR30 SWAP EcuTek Remote Tuning Package

Taking on VR30DDTT engine swap? Tuning and wiring for this swap can be tough enough in their native vehicles, swapping this engine into another chassis adds another level of complexity on top! Fortunately, that's where VPF comes in on the tuning side!

You'll likely encounter difficulties with throttle limits, boost control quirks, and even more issues when adding a 6 speed manual transmission. Having been down this road, our tuning solution has proven to operate the VR30DDTT in numerous configurations as it was intended.

Standard features with our tuning. These apply to all 4 modes:

• Dyno proven cam angles, ignition timing, AFR targets, and boost by rpm targets
• Wastegate table modifications for optimal shifting and boost control
• Raised boost levels with safe torque delivery
• Automatic oil pressure cut safety

VR30 (Q50/Q60) info: Too often to people confuse higher boost with more power. On stock turbos, we've found less boost and proper ignition timing creates more torque throughout the entire power band in a much safer manner. We tune stock turbo VR30's to 18psi maximum and let them naturally taper down to 13psi at redline as the turbos run out of efficiency. While blow off valves are not typically recommended, we have tuning solutions to help with rev-hang on manual swapped vehicles. On the Q50 and Q60, they can create some shifting and fuel tuning issues without solving the "over boost" problem during shifts. Pre-throttle boost spikes are still present with BOV's. However, proper wastegate tuning completely relieves the stress on the turbos during shifts.
