VR30 (Q50/Q60) info: Too often to people confuse higher boost with more power. On stock turbos, we've found less boost and proper ignition timing creates more torque throughout the entire power band in a much safer manner. We tune our VR30's to 18psi maximum and slowly ramp torque in below 3200rpm. We then let midrange do the majority of the leg work. Lastly, we do not get greedy with top end power. This helps prolong the life of the turbos. We also do not recommend blow off valves. On these vehicles, they create some fuel tuning issues without solving the "over boost" problem during shifts. Pre-throttle boost spikes are still present with BOV's. However, proper wastegate tuning completely relieves the stress on the turbos during shifts.
