GTR info: Stock motors have a decent lifespan when the torque is kept well under 600ftlbs on a properly calibrated ECM. With properly built engines and transmissions, the power and torque limits become whatever the parts can handle assuming the turbos have move enough air and the fuel system can supply the fuel. The stock ECM with EcuTek software is truly powerful. Options for flex fuel, speed density conversion, rolling launch control and standard launch control and even the ability to drive 6 additional injectors have been baked into the RaceRom features directly from EcuTek.

Our tuning strategy is simple and goes in this order: AFR is adjusted according to fuel used and estimated power level, cam angles are tuned to optimal intake air flow across the entire torque curve, ignition timing is increased to maximum brake torque on built engines (1 degree less on stock motors unless more retard is warranted, boost is raised to the clients desired power level until fuel system reaches a limit or the turbos can no longer efficiently move air.
